My husband and two other friends took a trip on Rich's very comfortable boat. He did a great job having our poles ready and rigged to catch as soon as we left the docks and hit fair fishing area. He seemed knowledgeable about the areas of the lake and what baits/ lures fish were being caught with. He allowed us to just enjoy the lake as we waited for the fish to bite ( which they did). Our group caught and released many trout. We even saw an eagle & deer. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. I would recommend him as a guide to others.

I fished with Richard Crispi several days ago at Lake Amador and wanted to write a testimony for him. Having been out with many different guides I have had very good ones and unfortunely poor/unethical ones as well.  Richard is in the first group.

He is very timely in responding to e-mails and phone calls and is very generous in sharing any information he has with you regarding fishing techniques etc. He is also very flexible in all aspects of guiding and customizing guide trips for clients that are first class and affordable. This makes it easy to arrange trips with him. His boat and equipment are first rate (and comfortable too.)

Overall , he is a nice person who is very competent to fish and spend time with.  He will not mislead you on what lakes are good and which are not. I think he is exceptional as a guide in that you can trust him with your money and questions. Your needs come first with him.

We have gone on his boat many times and have always caught lots of fish and had a great time. He pays a lot of attention to detail to get the right lures working in the right places. He is easy going and a nice guy to be around. Whether you are a beginging fisherman or you just want some fine tuning on your technique, Rich is the guy to help you out. One time at Camanche he knew I wanted to catch a lot of trout and he stayed out there in 100 degree heat until I did. Took all day and he did it with a smile. He is a trooper. I look forward to many more trips on his boat!
